FAMILY HOME EVENING

We have family night once a week, usually on Monday Night and for family night tonight we got a bunch of paper, rolled them into balls and threw them at Mom. Malia even tossed a couple of them but she usually hit herself.

HAVING FUN W/ CHASE

I dumped a big pitcher of water on my brother in law in the shower and the best part about this video is that my sister Kortney was blamed for it.

Malia Biking, Grandma & Stinky Shoes

We finally let Malia on the bike...luckily her bum is big enough so she doesn't flop all over the place...it holds her in place.

It was really really good to have grandma visit, she stayed with us for 2 weeks, she helped with the kids, cleaned, cooked and did all those really helpful things. We both appreciated all that she did when she was here. We even went out on some dates and Grandma babysat. Ethan and Malia both really enjoyed playing with Grandma. After Grandma left Ethan said that Grandma was "nite nite" but then he finally figured out that she was gone when he busted into her room and no one was there and now he says "Grandma bye bye". We all really miss her and wish she didn't live so far away...and she is always welcomed back.

Their is nothing like smelling Dad's Stinky Shoes, he did this for about 5 minutes straight.

Happy Halloween, a few days late...

First Ethan wanted to try on daddy's wig.

then came Malia...
Don't you just want to pinch those fat little cheeks!!

Then came there turn to dress up. Malia was a ladybug and Ethan was a pirate. We even sprayed his hair black (you can't see it in the pics) He looked in the mirror later and couldn't quite figure out what happened to him. These are the best we could get, they were a little crazy and wouldn't sit still.

Here's Ethan digging into the candy already. He was in HEAVEN. We went to trunk or treat at our church and we would go from car to car and get candy. At first he was a little scared, but after he realized that they were handing out candy, he would run right up to them and take the candy and get a big smile on his face. He has a little bit of a sweet tooth like his mommy.
Malia would not stay still. She wanted to run all over the place, she kind of had to waddle because of her costume and she ate it a few times but loved wearing her costume.

Ummm...don't ask

Bitter Sweet Yankee Cake

Last night as Samantha was at mutual I was with the kids. When Mom leaves, Dad feeds the kids whatever seems good. They really don't get anything nutritional...I'm like Bill Cosby at times and think because their is flower & eggs in cake that it's good for them. So a while they were eating there nutritional cake I watched the Yankees/Angels game. I hate the Yankees and cheer for any team playing against them. The Angels nearly blew it and lost but barely squeezed out a win. Now the Angels have to win the final 2 games in NY to advance to the World Series. So a while the Angels win was sweet these next games will probably be bitter.

No more goop eye!

Malia had her clogged tear duct surgery on Monday, and it went really well. She didn't cry at all before when they were putting on all the monitor stuff. She just looked at them like, "what the heck are you doing to me." The anesthesiologist picked her up and took her to the back, which was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I knew it was a really quick procedure and she would only be out for about 10 minutes, but she was still going completely under! Totally scary! She did great though, the doctor said they just put the mask on and she was out. Completely different story when she woke up. She was ticked off! She wasn't just crying, she was screaming at the top of her lungs for about 20 minutes and throwing herself all over the place. Poor girl, had no idea what was going on. She finally calmed down and fell asleep on the way home. The doctor said that she had never seen such a tight tear duct before, which meant a lot of swelling and bruising. And she was right, she looked like she got into a fight. It was really swollen and black and blue. But it already looks way better, just bruised now, but no more gunk in her eye! It's seriously weird to see her eye all clean and not half shut with goop . Here are some pics of her poor little beat up eye!

Right after she got home, of course she's eating.

Two days later, no crusties, goop or gunk in her eye! Yeah!!!!

Malia's Surgery

It's been a year and Malia's clogged tear duct hasn't cleared up yet...so they did surgery on her this morning. I stayed with Ethan and Sam went with Malia. All morning Ethan wanted to know where "sam & lia were". The surgery went well. The Doctor said that she had never seen a tear duct that tight before and since it was so tight she will have some bad bruising. We will have pictures of it later...but she is sleeping right now and everything went well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MALIA =)

One year ago today we had out little girl, I can't believe it's been a year already!

Here's our bright eyed girl now

She loves:
to eat
beg for food
to watch TV
her feet played with

to steel Ethan's toys from him
to squeal at the top of her lungs
to swing outside
to play outside
to take a bath
to play in the toilet
to turn off the computer
to play in the middle of the night
to throw a fit when she doesn't get what she wants, yes it started already!
of course her mommy and daddy and big brother

She hates:
when she is done eating
when she's done taking a bath
having a shirt put on her
That's about it, she's a pretty easy going little girl, unless you cross her, then she can hold her own.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR LITTLE CHUNK!!

Never 29 again

I will always be able to give Samantha a hard time about being older than me. She is only 6 months older but basically she robbed the cradle when we got married. I had a little party for her at Agua Caliente Park...which is the same place we took our engagement pictures and lots of her friends showed up and it was a good "OLD" time.

For being old she still has good lungs because she blew out all 30 candles on the 1st try

Luckily Simon Cowell wasn't at the party to critique our singing...especially mine

Just some cute stuff...

"Helping" with the laundry.

Malia loves playing in her "baby bathtub." She entertains herself forever in that thing, this time Ethan decided to have some fun with her

Seriously cute face =)
Batting practice, not to brag or anything but he's actually pretty good. Check out the video.

The other day the two kiddos where playing together in the living room. I had just given Malia a bottle so I thought they should be fine for a few minutes. Then I heard them both laughing, not just giggles, but cracking up. I thought, oh no what did they do. So I peek around the corner and Ethan had Malia's bottle and was using it as a water gun. He stuck his hand in the bottom of the bottle and was squeezing the bag so it would squirt Malia. She had milk all over and she loved it. You can't really see it in the pics but she was COVERED in milk.

Then the next day they were outside for not even 5 minutes and I look around the corner and see this. Ethan had covered Malia in dirt, and of course she loved it. She had dirt in her diaper, in her mouth, in her hair, everywhere, can you say bath time!

And just the other day I went to the store, came back and went outside to find this. Adam had given Ethan the hose. Yep that's right, the hose. Check out what he was doing!

And of course she loved it! They both cried when we finally took the hose away. What are these two going to get into next??????

And last...Malia's starting to walk!!!!! Totally not ready for this. I thought we would have a while since it took her FOREVER to roll over or crawl, but no. As soon as she figured out how to crawl she was eagerly trying to new things. She still prefers to crawl but she is walking a lot more now. This video isn't very good, it's only like 1 step but it's all I could get. She never does anything when I have the camera!
