Malia Biking, Grandma & Stinky Shoes

We finally let Malia on the bike...luckily her bum is big enough so she doesn't flop all over the place...it holds her in place.

It was really really good to have grandma visit, she stayed with us for 2 weeks, she helped with the kids, cleaned, cooked and did all those really helpful things. We both appreciated all that she did when she was here. We even went out on some dates and Grandma babysat. Ethan and Malia both really enjoyed playing with Grandma. After Grandma left Ethan said that Grandma was "nite nite" but then he finally figured out that she was gone when he busted into her room and no one was there and now he says "Grandma bye bye". We all really miss her and wish she didn't live so far away...and she is always welcomed back.

Their is nothing like smelling Dad's Stinky Shoes, he did this for about 5 minutes straight.

Happy Halloween, a few days late...

First Ethan wanted to try on daddy's wig.

then came Malia...
Don't you just want to pinch those fat little cheeks!!

Then came there turn to dress up. Malia was a ladybug and Ethan was a pirate. We even sprayed his hair black (you can't see it in the pics) He looked in the mirror later and couldn't quite figure out what happened to him. These are the best we could get, they were a little crazy and wouldn't sit still.

Here's Ethan digging into the candy already. He was in HEAVEN. We went to trunk or treat at our church and we would go from car to car and get candy. At first he was a little scared, but after he realized that they were handing out candy, he would run right up to them and take the candy and get a big smile on his face. He has a little bit of a sweet tooth like his mommy.
Malia would not stay still. She wanted to run all over the place, she kind of had to waddle because of her costume and she ate it a few times but loved wearing her costume.

Ummm...don't ask

Bitter Sweet Yankee Cake

Last night as Samantha was at mutual I was with the kids. When Mom leaves, Dad feeds the kids whatever seems good. They really don't get anything nutritional...I'm like Bill Cosby at times and think because their is flower & eggs in cake that it's good for them. So a while they were eating there nutritional cake I watched the Yankees/Angels game. I hate the Yankees and cheer for any team playing against them. The Angels nearly blew it and lost but barely squeezed out a win. Now the Angels have to win the final 2 games in NY to advance to the World Series. So a while the Angels win was sweet these next games will probably be bitter.

No more goop eye!

Malia had her clogged tear duct surgery on Monday, and it went really well. She didn't cry at all before when they were putting on all the monitor stuff. She just looked at them like, "what the heck are you doing to me." The anesthesiologist picked her up and took her to the back, which was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I knew it was a really quick procedure and she would only be out for about 10 minutes, but she was still going completely under! Totally scary! She did great though, the doctor said they just put the mask on and she was out. Completely different story when she woke up. She was ticked off! She wasn't just crying, she was screaming at the top of her lungs for about 20 minutes and throwing herself all over the place. Poor girl, had no idea what was going on. She finally calmed down and fell asleep on the way home. The doctor said that she had never seen such a tight tear duct before, which meant a lot of swelling and bruising. And she was right, she looked like she got into a fight. It was really swollen and black and blue. But it already looks way better, just bruised now, but no more gunk in her eye! It's seriously weird to see her eye all clean and not half shut with goop . Here are some pics of her poor little beat up eye!

Right after she got home, of course she's eating.

Two days later, no crusties, goop or gunk in her eye! Yeah!!!!
